Privacy notice
Last updated: 7 October 2026
This notice explains what happens to your information when you join the waitlist for the GMBR Driving Test Simulator. We've kept it short and in plain English.
Who we are
The website gmbr.io is run by GMBR LTD, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 17502754. Our registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ.
GMBR LTD is the "data controller" for the information described here, which means we decide how it's used.
You can contact us about anything in this notice at [email protected].
What we collect
When you join the waitlist we ask for your email address only.
Our email provider, Mailchimp, also automatically records some technical details when you sign up and when you read our emails. These include the date and time you signed up, your IP address, and whether you open our emails or click their links.
Why we use it
We use your email address to send you updates about the private beta of the GMBR Driving Test Simulator, such as when it opens and how to get in. We won't send you anything else, and we will never sell your email address.
Our legal basis for this is your consent, which you give by joining the waitlist. You can withdraw it at any time (see below).
Who stores it
Your email address is stored by Mailchimp, the email service run by Intuit Inc., which sends our emails on our behalf. Mailchimp stores data in the United States. To protect data sent there from the UK, Mailchimp is certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and its data processing terms include standard contractual protections approved for UK data transfers as a backup. You can read Intuit's privacy statement for more detail.
This website is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic technical information (such as your IP address) to deliver the page and protect it from attacks.
This website doesn't use cookies or analytics, and we don't track you across other websites.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address while the waitlist and private beta are running. When we no longer need it to send you beta updates, we'll delete it.
If you unsubscribe, Mailchimp keeps your email address marked as "unsubscribed". That's how it makes sure you don't get emailed again by mistake. If you'd rather we removed it completely, email us and we'll permanently delete it. Mailchimp then erases your personal information and anonymises it in our reports.
How to unsubscribe
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it and you'll stop getting our emails straight away. You can also email [email protected] and we'll unsubscribe you.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct it
- ask us to delete it
- withdraw your consent at any time
- object to how we use your information
To do any of these, email [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this notice
If we change this notice, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we'll let you know by email.
